Often referred to as "the cute Beatle", Paul has always been my favorite ever since my friend's teenaged sister taught us to dance "The Twist" to "Twist and Shout" in the mid 1960's.  From her stack of records, she pulled out the sleeve to the album, and explained why The Beatles were so cool, and why Paul was her favorite.  It sounded good to me, and I was hooked.  Years later, my best friend resurected them (a mear 3 years after they broke up) and the real Beatelmaniac in me awoke.  Keep in mind that this was 2 years after the founding of Paul McCartney and Wings. I'm from a cross-over age group who was too young to really understand The Beatles at the time of their recordings, but still aware of them.  In 1976 at the age of 15, my dad drove me and my friend to the other side of town (thanks, dad!) to see Paul perform with Wings during the Wings Over America tour.  Years later, in 1993 my husband and our friends went to see Paul and his wife Linda perform during The New World Tour, and now in 2002 we just finished seeing one concert in each leg of the just-finished Driving U.S.A. tour.  We brought a sign to one of the shows that said, "PAUL!  THROW ME A KISS???" (I didn't want to seem too pushy) and at the end of "Hey Jude" he read the sign and threw me my kiss, and I even got a one-hand wave and the famous McCartney thumb-up!!!  Thanks, Paul!  Right back atcha!!!
