THE BEATLES
One Of My Favorite Bands!

One of the most famous and influential bands of all time, The Beatles all hailed from Liverpool, England where they started out as a band in 1961 with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr (real name Richard Starkey).  John and Paul began playing together a few years before that, and Paul brought George into the group soon after.  John's friend from art school Stuart Sutcliff left the band to be with his girlfriend in 1959, and their drummer, Pete Best was replaced by Ringo (a decision made by the Beatles record producer George Martin) in 1963.  They were together until 1969, leaving behind a vast and wonderful collection of music.
